How to apply K9Advantix dog flea treatment
It does not matter if your pet is clean or dirty when you apply any dog flea treatment . It does matter however that your dog is completely dry if he has recently been wet or bathed. Ideally it is best to wait at least 24 hours before you bath your pet after applying the flea and tick medicine (this gives it plenty of time to absorb). *We recommend a gentle shampoo made specifically for dogs while using K9Advantix.
STEP 1: Place your dog in a secure location. Preferably in a sitting position if your dog is under 20lbs and a standing position for dogs over 21lbs. This makes it easier to apply K9Advantix and any other dog flea treatment.
STEP 2: Part your dog’s hair to reveal their skin. 
STEP 3: Apply the K9Advantix dog flea treatment should be placed directly onto the skin for it to be effective.* Spread the hair at the shoulder blades. It is important to see the skin, because K9 Advantix needs to be placed directly on the skin for it to be effective.
* What Spots to Apply a Dog Flea Treatment Based on Their Weight *
*Dogs 0-20lbs: Apply the entire tube of dog flea treatment between the shoulder blades.
*Dogs 21-55lbs: Apply the entire tube of dog flea treatment in 2-3 spots down their back starting at the shoulder blade and ending at the hips.
*Dogs over 55lbs: Apply the entire application in 4 spots down the back starting at the shoulder blade.
STEP 4: Wash your hands because YOU ARE DONE! Your dog’s natural movements will spread the dog flea treatment over the skin.
